You can start building your empire in Civilization V on your Mac in a mere couple of weeks. This confirmation was made by Aspyr Media as they announced the official launch date of the game on Apple's computer system.

Civilization V Second Opinions

Firaxis' Civilization V has been available for a little while now, and a number of editors at IGN have had a chance to check out the latest version of the most popular strategy franchise around. This includes those who've played the game before and those who've never tried Civilization and even generally don't deal with gaming on a PC. We've already delivered a review, where editor Anthony Gallegos said "Civilization V is one of the best turn-based strategy games I've ever had the pleasure of playing" and gave the game a score of 9 out of 10.

Civilization 5 review: A funny thing happened on the way to the forum

Civilzation 5 is the love child of a clandestine tryst between Civilization 4 and Civilization Revolution. It is a game that shares genetic markers of both the PC and console iterations of the franchise, luckily receiving the best elements of both -- with a couple good mutations. Civ 5 has the grand, epic feel we expect from the series on PC, but so much of it has been streamlined for the better that Revolution's influence is undeniable.
